Pre-holiday fuss... We are concerned with traffic jams, gifts, and discounts, having no idea that at the same moment dozens ... hundreds and thousands of children fight for their right to live. More than 5000 children with congenital heart defects are born annually in Ukraine. More than 5% of urgent cases are arrhythmias, with its urgent forms reaching 1:5000 among children and life-threatening ones – 1:7000. Cardiac rhythm disorders lead to hospitalization of more than 60% of children. In the case of arrhythmias, the risk of sudden death increases by more than 50 times. Cardiovascular diseases are steadily increasing growing among children, has almost doubled over the past 10 years.

A long-awaited equipment has finally appeared in the Government Institution "Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine". This is about the Ensite™ Electrophysiological Cardiac Navigation System, which was a result of the two-year hard work of a large number of specialists of the Department of electrophysiology and X-ray methods of treating heart rhythm disorders at the Center.

The ultramodern EnSite™ system costs 6 199 580,00 UAH. The manufacturer has already been transferred 4.5 mln. UAH. This sum comprises the money we managed to collect over past 2 years as a result of "Running under the Chestnuts" charity foundation activities and thanks to benefactors of the "Child’s Heart" foundation. The system’s manufacturer was very quick to respond to our call for help, allowing us to deliver and install the equipment in the Center and provided the respite of the final payment till the end of 2019. Three operations have already been successfully performed so far to almost desperate patients, who could not even dream to start a new healthy happy life. And this is just the beginning. There is still a multitude of saved lives, smiling children's faces and happy parents ahead. To make it real, it is necessary to collect the remaining 1 699 580,00 UAH to pay the whole sum for the equipment. Therefore, we encourage all those who are not indifferent to help us raise the necessary money.
