Vova has autism, but he will win

Volodya is 6 years old, he hardly speaks, but he more or less understands the speech addressed to him. Vovchik is a friendly and sensitive boy with a kind heart, he wants to communicate and play with his peers. But he is not accepted by children because he cannot speak fluently. That's why he has no friends.

In order for the boy to start speaking fluently and live a full life, he needs to undergo rehabilitation 4 times a year. But his parents do not have enough money to pay for it, and the boy has an even younger sister.

When Volodya was 2.5 years old, doctors diagnosed him with a speech delay and hyperactivity disorder, but at the age of 4, this diagnosis changed to autism with speech delay. Since then, the parents began taking their son to various rehabilitation centers, but, unfortunately, there were no significant changes in the boy's health at first.

Vovchyk attended an inclusive kindergarten, but he did not perceive the lessons and did not communicate well with the specialists. This lasted until the boy went for rehabilitation at the "Krok za Krokom do mety" center in Bortnychi, Kyiv region. After the rehabilitation, Vova made progress: he began to make contact with specialists, and in kindergarten he started working with a speech therapist and a psychologist, with whom he did not want to work at first. "With each subsequent rehabilitation session at the center, Vova made progress, and it was our small victory," says Ivanna, his mother. "Now, after the last course of rehabilitation, the boy has speech, but its specificity is very different. The boy can rarely say anything, and purely of his own free will, he does not respond to requests to say or answer something, although his speech is quite conscious, according to the situation. That is, it is logical speech, which makes me very happy as a mother."
