UPD: dear donors! In this project, we started fundraising for medical equipment – a mobile X-ray machine for a hospital in Kharkiv region. However, due to inactive fundraising, the author of the project decided to stop fundraising for it and asked us to use the funds already collected on dobro.ua to purchase sterilization equipment for the doctors of this clinical center. Currently, there is an acute need for it in the medical institution. More details in the "News" and "Reports and documents" section of this project.

Back in 2014, Nadezhda Vasina, a Ukrainian gymnast, former member of the Ukrainian national rhythmic gymnastics team, international master of sports, and Ukraine's most flexible artist, began combining the stage in Las Vegas with her military uniform, performing in America, and earning money for her activities. It was at the beginning of the first aggressive attack by the occupants at the beginning of the terrible year of 2014 that Nadezhda dedicated her life to volunteering and saving Ukraine. The money she earned on the world stage was turned into thermal imaging cameras, tactical goggles, fuel, and other necessities for the military on the front lines.

Through military volunteering, which Nadiya's parents learned about later from many acquaintances, Nadiya got to know the wonderful guys who defend our land from the occupiers, and in the frontline territories she found true friends who are still helping in a difficult cause to this day.

In 2014 Nadezhda bought her first ticket to Slavyansk, where she was met by soldiers of the 95th Brigade and taken to Avdeevka. It was a journey of life and death, fear and new realities. How much pain and suffering the Russian invaders brought to our Ukraine. Nadya saw everything with her own eyes. The people who fled the occupied territories, the military who didn't sleep for days at a time, the fragility of life and the severe wounds that cost it. Then she understood that the war was not somewhere out there, far away, but in every Ukrainian family, in every village and town, touching every person.

This journey was a revelation and word of volunteering spread to other units. The needs are many, and our own funds are not enough for all the challenges. That's how the first calls and messages to friends happened. Then there were stories when people transferred money simply as gifts, someone did promotions and donated their cars. Sometimes the military themselves made charitable contributions to help fellow soldiers. More than once, a family from Avdeevka, which has a child with a disability and is barely making ends meet, sent Nadezhda 5,000 hryvnias each with the message: "For our guys". At that moment Nadya understood that she couldn't stop. If people give their last to fight evil, she needs to become stronger and bigger. It is under this motto that Nadia has been part of the only undefeated Ukrainian organism for more than 8 years, working to win and working hard to bring closer the day when you can look at the peaceful and liberated skies of Ukraine.

At present, the struggle has other dimensions. The occupiers are directing all their existing forces toward the destruction of our state, using all their weapons to kill our defenders. Many are no longer with us, but those who have been wounded must survive. And that already depends on our doctors, some of whom are evacuating the military to hospitals, while others are making every effort to provide skilled medical care.

Despite comprehensive assistance from other nations, charitable and volunteer initiatives, it is simply not possible to provide all hospitals with advanced medical equipment. That is why the project "United and Strong" has an ambitious, but completely foreseeable goal. It was created by the Ukrainian brand of gadgets Gelius and the world-renowned athlete Nadezhda Vasina.

If everyone who has a mission to save the lives of our military will donate at least 100 UAH to the charity project, we will be able to quickly close the need to purchase a mobile expert X-ray unit for the Kharkiv regional hospital, where our wounded heroes are being saved every day. It is ideal for use in a limited ward environment and in a hospital setting. It should be a compact and lightweight unit that can be quickly transported to the right ward for the doctor.
