All children are special. 2

Help us to make a holiday for children with disabilities from the conflict area! On October 18, 2018, with the help of UBB donors, the Everybody Can Foundation held an extraordinary holiday in Sloviansk, where we have met fifteen of families from Severodonetsk, Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Kramatorsk, Rubizhne and Sloviansk. Local volunteers joined the team of the Foundation. Children with cerebral palsy and visualy impaired children, children with challenges in a brain development participated in contests, with the help of parents and volunteers. 

The animators named everything allowed for visual children. The volunteers wore on there were constantly near the kids. Visually impaired children prepared a musical concert. In the break, there delicious pizza and sweets were served, and after – the children continued the fun. And mothers stayed for safe space communication. They left the children for half an hour in the hands of volunteers with animators and talked about various important topics in the hall nearby. Together they dreamed about how, in fifteen years, their children would be independent and happy people.

For the first time, we saw mothers without their children next to them. How is it important for them! These women are with their children 24/7 without the opportunity to spend even a minute for themselves. After this event, the mothers from psychologically burned out turned into smiling beauties with a spark in their eyes. At the end of the holiday, each child received a small gift.

In spring, the same event will take place, only more extensive. More kids will come. Our little beneficiaries are waiting for us, as well as old and new volunteers who are planning to bring their children to this meet-up as well. Communicating with children with challenges in the development made us sure that if other kids would communicate with them more, they would be a more compassionate and appreciate thing in their lives more. Children with musculoskeletal disorders are able to teach courage, strength and dignity, and children intellectual challenges – sincerity of the soul, the depth of simplicity and naivety, loyalty and devotion. Inclusion is a win-win for all the children.
