Resuming of the project
We are resuming fundraising for the project "Wow! I can't see, but I study in a normal school!", suspended on March 10, 2022, due to the beginning of Russian military aggression. At that time, our team believed that collecting funds for the education of blind children is incorrect when it comes to urgent and priority assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now, since the situation has more or less stabilized and there is an understanding of the future prospects for Ukraine, the Aid Operator has decided to resume collection. The goal is to use the collected funds to purchase special equipment, without which the education of a blind child is impossible in the conditions of an inclusive school, as well as to purchase a number of didactic materials for blind children. These are Braille typewriters, laptops with voice programs, geometric drawing sets, tactile atlases, etc. - that is, a number of specific tools used by blind children in learning.
We have an excellent long-term experience of successfully educating such children in ordinary schools throughout Ukraine: dozens of happy blind children live in their own families and have the opportunity to study in ordinary schools instead of special boarding schools.
