The hard way to recovery. 3
Dear donors, уou have already helped a little Vitia Porokhovyi, a boy with special needs; for his short life he has already undergone ten operations on bypassing the brain, inflammation of the ventricle, meningitis, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral edema, he was in the intensive care unit at the ventilator during the month. Almost from birth, he was diagnosed with encephalopathy and later – with internal hydrocephaly.
Now, Vitia is 3 years old and he has passed many things already. Thanks to your help, he has undergone three rehabilitation courses at the Victoria Rehabilitation Centre. As a result of the lessons, he is holding his head, can sit and stand with support, and he has learned to take things. Thanks to the massage, the muscles have relaxed and there are no more spasms in the legs. However, as long as the boy uses only one hand, the other hand is still very tight. After classes with a speech therapist, he started talking better and clearer, he began to eat well, and most importantly, he can chew by himself. The speech therapist admires Vitia because he remembers everything well and learns quickly. Studies with a psychologist gave an impetus to personal development. Vitia began to pay attention to people around him and, in general, to everything around him, he is more interested in toys.
According to doctors, Vitia has very good prospects for recovery. There is a chance to put a boy on his feet if he will be regularly undergoing rehabilitation and receive treatment with medication. The next rehabilitation course is scheduled for October and costs UAH 23,000. The boy is prescribed also an expensive preparation Cerebrocurine, which price is UAH 11,500 for 10 days. Vitia's mother does not have such funds. For a family with another disabled child diagnosed with cerebral palsy, microcephaly, this amount is simply unsustainable. Please, help to raise funds for treatment!
Earlier at UBB, we already raised funds for Victor's rehabilitation. You can view previous projects here.
