Vitia Porokhovoi is a special kid who has been fighting for his life since birth and he really needs our support. He was born prematurely, in asphyxiation, and met with intracerebral haemorrhage of the 4th grade. For a month he was in intensive care, he did not breathe on his own and was connected to an artificial lung ventilation. He was diagnosed with encephalopathy, cerebral inflammation, meningitis and internal hydrocephalus later on. The boy's head was constantly enlarging, as the liquid was collected there. For a year and a half of his life, he had undergone ten brain bypass surgeries to drain liquid. For a long time Vitia had not been holding his head, could not sit, stand, and speak. Now Vitia has positive dynamics; after rehabilitation the boy's health is gradually improving.

But rehabilitation cannot be stopped, Vita’s further life directly depends on it. The next course has been scheduled for November this year. The family is financially depleted. The kid is not the only disabled child in the family, he has an older brother diagnosed with microcephaly. The mother is forced to fight on her own, since her husband left the family.

Vitia was diagnosed with severe retardation of psycho-motor development, spastic tetraparesis. In "Viktoria" centre, the child is visiting a speech therapist and a psychologist along with his undergoing of exercise therapy, massages, remedial gymnastics, suspension therapy, using training devices and paraffin wax applications, developing his joints, and taking private lessons in the pool. The kid tries and works hard. Now the boy's psycho-emotional state and his understanding of the addressed speech has improved, anxiety has decreased and his communicative qualities have improved. And all these positive results became possible only due to the support of kind and caring people. The next course of rehabilitation requires funds that the family does not have.
