"Hi, there! We are Olesya Topchiy and Sasha Adamchuk. We were born with a heart defect that wasn't compatible with life namely transposition of the major vessels. During the first hours of our life with a one-hour difference on the same day, we ended up at the Center for Children's Cardiology and Cardio Surgery and were born for the second time. An excruciatingly long surgery provided us with an opportunity to live and smile. From that very moment, we are friends not only in need but also in a great happiness! We regularly come back to the center like home for regular examinations and are grateful that there is such a light and magical place," that was an introduction of a letter our fund received.

The story of little Olesya and Sasha is typical for the Center. Doctors fix 6 children's hearts on the everyday basis. All surgery procedures regardless their complexity are totally free of charge for families. It's been almost 12 years when Center for Children's Cardiology and Cardio Surgery rescues 3,000 lives yearly. The medical equipment doesn't stand idle here at all. Concerning the workload, some parts break and require some repairment or even replace.

Continuing reading the letter: "At this very moment an artificial lungs ventilation machine is broken. Obviously, we are not able to buy the machine by ourselves since it costs around $50,000. That is why mothers helped us organize fundraising and we sincerely hope that you could help us to prolong or maybe even give a new life!".

Without an artificial lungs, ventilation machine emergency medical assistance is simply impossible. Only that equipment is able to breathe for a baby when his or she fights for their life.
