Big struggle of little girl

Nastya was born a healthy baby. After the examination, the doctor heard a noise in the heart, the parents didn’t believe that a congenital heart defect, namely, patent ductus arteriosus, may be repeated with their second child in the family. It so happened that in this family the elder son who was born in 2008, had CAP. Relatives waited and prayed for self-closing, but the miracle didn’t happen, and in 2013 was successfully carried out the operation to close a PDA endovascular. For assistance didn’t apply, cope on their own. But now they can't. 

Diagnosis, which put Nastya: patent ductus arteriosus (d 0,3 cm), functioning patent foramen ovale, DPMM d 0,5 cm (in 2012. On the results of ultrasound closed ASD). If don’t deal with the treatment of patent ductus arteriosus, may cause various complications, such as from the cardiovascular system, and from the lungs. With age, the patent ductus arteriosus may lead to heart failure, in the absence of corrective therapy.

Nastya is a charming, active, independent girl. Engaged in dances, her favorite activity is riding on swings. Nastya is a sport girl, she doesn’t sit on the spot, likes to swim. Girl is very sociable and easily finds new friends. Always helps her mother care for the youngest little brother.

In order to Nastya lives a full life, without limitation, there is need in conducting an operation to establish the occluder. With the development of minimally invasive surgery and the development of endovascular (catheter) technology appeared less traumatic method for the treatment of PDA — endovascular occlusion of the duct using occluders. This method avoids incision scars and long-term rehabilitation. Surgical treatment of this defect is in the past.
