Easter for the elderly war

"Christ is Risen!", "He is Risen Indeed!".

Easter is the greatest holiday for all Orthodox Christians. Our country will celebrate this year in conditions of full-scale war, but we still do not forget about spiritual things. Today we strongly pray for peace in Ukraine, we fast, we confess, and receive communion. And on the night of Easter, having prepared the Easter basket, we will go to the Church to hear the joyful news: "Christ is Risen." These words will help us to support the people around us by organizing a holiday for them, to give them back a piece of peaceful life.

Elderly people especially need this support now.

What kind of the Easter table they will have depends largely on us!

Let's give a holiday to the elderly who were caught up in the war for the second time. Their houses, way of life, peaceful old age remained in Donbas. They have been living in strange places for nine years, sometimes spending their entire pension on rent. Their savings for the "dark day" have long since ended. And holidays are possible only with the help of supporters.

We want our beneficiaries, 22 elderly internally displaced (from 69 to 82 years old), to feel care and comfort on Easter, to taste fragrant honey and to have the opportunity to give their neighbors an Easter egg and return to peaceful times, even for a moment. That the miracle of the resurrection may fill their souls with hope.
