Maxym Syrchyn from Kramatorsk is 4 years old. He has acute myeloid leukemia - it's fatal disease and it's impossible to fight it without bone marrow transplantation. Maxym needs transplantation from non-related donor and these kind of surgeries are not made in Ukraine. Ukrainian doctors stabilized the boy's condition and parents payed the search and found the donor for their son. Maxym will get treated in Poland and for this we need to collect 111 000 euro.

Cute lips, funny eye-brows, square shirt. Maxym is a little cute boy and he is sick. On the patch which is covering catheter there is a drawing of an airplane and date 25th of March. The boy always holds a car in his hand which he traded from mommy for the promise to eat well. Only a car can help when after the third block of chemo therapy the boy feels sick and not well at all.
- Don't disturb the driver! - mom of Maxym is hearing when the boy is playing races on the tablet. He should not be disturbed because with the racing he makes money to get a new car. But recently he spent all virtual money for the spare parts for the old car. Couldn't help it. So mom should not disturb the driver while racing. And mom is happy when he is so into that and not thinking about how he feels.
Before Maxym wasn't sick and everything was good. And now he is in completely other city, at the hospital, taking some pills. On top of that only couple of times during few month they let him out to the street to play and watch the pigeons. How one can live without pigeons?
And now also daddy is talking to the son only though the tablet. They are not letting daddy to come in the hospital room. That's why Maxym is getting a bit upset and daddy has to recover himself with toys. For example to give to the boy a construction set. So then the son wearing helmet and with the wrench could fix everything in the hospital. Then the boy needs a doctor's set so then he could treat all the kids in the oncology department. Why they are all sick here? Let's treat them!
But when it comes to Maxym and he is getting treatment he is constantly screaming: "Oh, it hurts!" Because doctors don't have toys, they have real things and they are hurting for some reason.
On top of the toys Maxym's dad has to get some money for son's treatment. He left his small business in Kramatorsk and moved to Kiev with his little daughter. He is running around between the hospital, partners, volunteers and a child. He managed to collect the money for the donor. But for the surgery he won't manage.

Maxym got sick in autumn last year. First his lymph nodes increased a lot and the doctors were treating him with 3 courses of antibiotics. And when the antibiotics didn't help parents took the boy to Okhmadet for the check up and the analysis.
- on Christmas we got the diagnosis.

"This was the end", - says father of Maxym, Alexandr Syrchyn.

During our conversation he says "the end" few times and he is avoiding to say the diagnosis "Acute myeloid leukemia". So he says: "Everybody was celebrating those days. And we were upset, trying to realize the sentence". Also on top of that the doctors said that the kid has broken AML gene, so the usual chemio won't help and he needs bone marrow transplantation which will be producing healthy cells for the body. This is sentence his father thinks. "not sentence" say the doctors and we agree with them! if to collect the money on time and made the bone marrow transplantation on time Maxym has high chances to survive. And each of us can help this family. This is not the end.
