Recovery for mom! 3

Dear donors, once again Eva Shindina, a refugee from the war zone, a person with 1st A disability group (diagnosis is cerebral palsy) and mother of two beautiful children comes to you for help. She got married in 2007 and had a baby. But in 2014, the family's life was turned upside down, a war broke out. In her hometown Makeyevka, there was fighting and shelling. Eva, her mother, son and husband hid in the basements from the gunfire and explosions. They experienced real horror. Later, volunteers moved their family to Odessa. Here, Eva gave birth to a baby girl in 2018.

Eva is disabled from childhood, she is always radiant, kind and open, despite everything she has been through. Eva is a very lively person. Little Alesya is growing up, developing, she asks a lot of questions, she likes to go for a walk with her mother, she asks to play and run around. All this is very difficult for Eva.  Because of the spasticity of the muscles, Eva‘s body is hindered, she cannot move around easily, she has speech disorders and she needs constant rehabilitation treatment. Unfortunately, the prolonged absence of therapy after the move to Odessa has affected her condition – her spasticity has increased, headaches and muscle pains have become more intense.

Only thanks to help of caring people, we were able to collect the necessary amount of money for a rehabilitation course in Truskavets. Eva underwent rehabilitation treatment in April 2020, which had a positive impact on her health – Eva became more active, more attentive, her speech and pronunciation became clearer, her gait became more confident and coordinated. Her hand motor skills have improved. Eva needs to attend such sessions regularly.  The next rehabilitation course is scheduled for November 2021. The cost of the course is UAH 23680 and the family is again asking for help of caring people. Unfortunately, they do not have this amount of money and her husband is also a handicapped person.
