Recovery After a Traumatic Brain Injury

During July and August 2026, our foundation paid UAH 210,000.00 for Oleksandr’s specialized rehabilitation courses at the Western Rehabilitation and Sports Center of the National Committee of Sports for the Disabled of Ukraine (NKSIU). In September and October 2026—in accordance with service acceptance certificates No. 425 (dated September 1, 2026) and No. 426 (dated October 1, 2026)—Oleksandr completed a 60-day comprehensive rehabilitation course.
The primary goals of the course were to improve his general well-being, endurance, and strength, as well as to restore his ability to walk using a quad cane, an AFO (ankle-foot orthosis), and two knee braces. These rehabilitation goals were successfully achieved. Behind the raw test figures lies progress that is deeply significant for Oleksandr:
•    his walking speed over 10 meters increased from 0.24 m/s to 0.33 m/s,
•    the distance covered in six minutes increased from 72 meters to 90 meters,
•    his "Up and Go" test time improved from 60 to 57 seconds,
•    his balance score on the Berg scale rose from 35 to 37 points,
•    and his hip and knee flexion strength improved.
