Vika was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and Dandy-Walker syndrome almost immediately after birth. She was born prematurely, could not breathe by herself, survived resuscitation. The girl did not eat, often stopped breathing. No one knew if she would survive. Today Vika is 13 years old, and she still struggles with the diagnoses through which each movement is forced to fight.

Through the spastic tetraparesis, for a long time the girl could not hold her head herself, sit, hold objects, stand and walk. Due to the delay of psycho verbal development, she still did not speak and did not react for the appeal. And only now, when she is 11, when she has countless treatment courses, she finally can do what other children do when she is 5 years old.

Now Vika is saying new sounds and individual words, her back muscles have strengthened, her muscle tone has decreased. The girl is trying by all means to learn how to maintain balance without assistance, and is already more confident walking, holding her hand. Such results were achieved after the last course of rehabilitation at the “Priorytet” center.

Doctors say that Vika is a promising girl, and they are waiting for her for a new course of treatment. We are sincerely happy for her and want to support Vikusia again. Are you with us?
