This year, Mykhailo went to a kindergarten at the Chance Specialized School. He liked going to school. He has become calmer, started to carry out simple errands, though he does not always understand what is being asked of him. But Mykhailo tries very hard and strives for independence.

He also loves jumping on a trampoline, swimming in the pool and playing with musical toys. And very soon he will turn 6 years old.

Mykhailo used to live with his mother in the Peremoha housing estate, but now they have moved to his great-grandmother's house on the left bank.

“I was afraid to stay in Peremoha,” says his mother, Yulia, "so I decided to move. It's still calmer here. We also have our own yard, where we put a trampoline. Mykhailo is ready to jump on it from morning to evening."

The boy has mild mental retardation with behavioral disorders. He is a very active and restless child who has no sense of self-preservation. Mykhailo is constantly running, jumping and trying to climb somewhere high. And his mother must always be there to prevent serious consequences.

Mykhailo desperately needs sessions with a psychologist. It will help him increase his motivation, become more attentive, understand his emotions, and improve his cognitive skills. And most importantly, the psychologist will be able to help the boy understand danger, teach him to recognize and avoid situations that will threaten his safety.

Usually, parents raising a child with a disability must provide him with comprehensive and regular sessions with various specialists. Unfortunately, there are often not enough resources for everything!
