Vyriy 2026: Come Back Alive
On August 9–10, Viriy took place, a point of transition into another dimension. A space between reality and vision, where theatre, music, and performance came together across three stages. Where music merged with the voices of trees, theatre grew out of the grass, and art became an experience that could not only be seen or heard, but truly felt.
The event has ended, but its story continues.
From the very beginning, it was important for the organizers that Viriy have not only a cultural dimension, but also a charitable one. That is why part of the proceeds from the event will be directed to support the Come Back Alive Foundation and its Dronefall project.
Dronefall addresses one of the most urgent needs on the modern battlefield: countering Russian reconnaissance drones.
These drones constantly operate above Ukrainian positions. They conduct reconnaissance, adjust artillery fire, help guide missiles, and search for vulnerabilities in our defenses. The ability to detect and destroy an enemy UAV in time therefore directly affects the safety of Ukrainian defenders.
Through the Dronefall project, the Come Back Alive Foundation provides Ukrainian forces with interceptor drones, communication systems, power supplies, and vehicles necessary for the rapid and effective operation of these units.
Modern warfare has long become a war of technology. Today, taking down a reconnaissance drone in time can mean much more than simply destroying a piece of enemy equipment. It can mean positions whose coordinates never reach the enemy, a strike that is prevented, and Ukrainian service members whose lives are saved.
