Georgii Basko is 11 years old, he is a robust and purposeful boy who strongly believes that one day he will surely get up from his wheelchair and walk as before… Georgii was born absolutely healthy; he grew and developed on a par with his peers. However, when the boy was 4, a disaster happened – he was knocked down by a car. The child got a heavy polytrauma, head injury, brain contusion and was comatose for 5 days. By incredible efforts, the doctors brought him back to life.

For seven years on Zhora was getting rehabilitation treatment, massages, and therapeutic exercises. At first, he moved in walkers, then with a cane and, later he even began to attend school. Everything went well but in September 2018 Zhora fell down in school and got an injury – a knee-cap fracture associated with displacement and ligament rupture. For the last 5 months, he was twice operated. Limitation of movements produced a negative effect on the general condition of the boy – he put on the extra weight and now it became still more difficult for the mother and grandmother to move Zhora. In order to get up on his feet, Zhora needs rehabilitation and medication with a total cost of 12 713 UAH. For the family this amount is impracticable.

The mother raises the son alone because Zhora's father died when the child was 2 years old. There is a catastrophic lack of funds. Still, the mother may not stop the treatment. This is the only chance to set the boy on his legs and give him an opportunity to lead a full-on life. Georgii's dynamic indicators are very good, all functions of his organism can be restored and he will be able to walk without anybody’s help as before. He just needs a little bit of help! Please, stand up for the boy, he needs it badly!
