To pull out Natasha from deadly funnel

Natasha is from Zaliznytsya village and she is 8 years old. She has a congenital aplastic anemia that could be treated only by transplantation of bone marrow from nonrelative donor. There is no way to help Natasha in Ukraine. So we are going to treat the girl in Italian clinic in Genua. For this purpose we need to collect 135 thousand euro.

Last year in December Natasha came back home from school with the high temperature. It reminded for several days and also Natasha was very pale so mother decided to take her to local clinic and made a blood test.

After the test results girl was directed to hematology in Lutsk and then for scaring as for usual child sternal puncture. And in conclusion – the diagnosis of congenital aplastic anemia and direction to transplantation of bone marrow

It seems that Natasha suddenly captured in the deadly funnel that twisted her with her family and began to absorb them. It’s true in some measure. It’s true because her illness is congenital and Natasha could not avoid it.

10 years ago Lyasch family lost their daughter. She was 8 years and she was fighting unsuccessfully with the aplastic anemia for 2 years. But in that times it was not known how to treat this illness in Ukraine. The child died. And son of Lyashc family fought with the other blood disease and in 22 he is still observing at the hematologist. Natasha has no chance not to be captured in this heritage funnel.

Aplastic anemia- is a very rare hematologic disease. The frequency of this disease is 2-6 occasions to 1 million citizens, but congenital form can be transmitted by inheritance. If anemia then the bone marrow stops producing the entire types of blood cells in sufficient amount - these are erythrocytes, leukocytes, platelets. The ill person becomes pale, weak, gets dyspnea, cardiopalmus, vertigo, head aces, bleeding ( including bleeding from nose and gums),also it appears the bruises and petechiae, weak resistance to infections.

In severe forms of anemia such as Natasha has there are no other possibilities but only the allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. That’s why Natasha isn’t treating now. She stays at home, tells nobody about her illness, learns the school materials remotely, and overcomes once in a week with her mother dangerous 120km to Lutsk and back to do lab tests and to receive if necessary the donor blood transfusion. In local hospital there is too old and bad equipment and lab test are calculated manually. So there is no way without Lutsk.
The blood transfusion is performed only in emergency because each new transfusion reduces the chance for successful bone marrow transplantation.

She is required the operation as soon as possible. And Natasha can go to Italy even tomorrow but of course it’s a matter of 135 thousand euro. Five thousand euro was collected already by all her village with the help of local news-paper article sponsored by head of the village council. For this money girl’s mother payed and transferred Natasha’s blood for typing to Italy.

But mom has no possibility to collect more money. It’s a huge amount that never has been seen in Zaliznytsya village of Volyn region. Still the blood tests are calculated manually in local hospital, and they do not track the genetic disease and bury children which they did not know how to treat. This funnel absorbs Natasha more and more. But we can pull out the girl from it.
