He has survived 34 kV electric shock!

Playing with his friend, the five-former Vitalik caught a high-voltage (35 kV!) cable with a metal pipe. The boy has survived. What will happen to him further depends on us. Doctors are now fighting for a boy’s arm, the child will then need a complex rehabilitation and plastic reconstruction..., if we help his poor family living in a village to raise money for the purpose! The help is needed immediately.

On 21 April an accident happened near the Kachkarske Village of Novoazovsk Rayon. On Sunday two five-formers of a local school grazed cows. According to one of the boys, Sasha Polehenky, when he with his friend Vitaly Vdovin played ‘war’, Vitalik climbed the bank of a dug-out pit and started swinging a metal pipe he had found, which caught a 35 kV cable...

The electrical discharge went through the entire child’s body. At its entry and outlet the boy has fourth-degree burns, his extremities and heart much harmed. It is not the first trial in the boy’s life, some years ago his mother died, therefore all the responsibility for boy’s upbringing rests on the shoulders of his father and old grandmother.

At the moment Vitalik needs a range of operations to ensure the capacity of his right arm to act and then a course of rehabilitation and reconstructive surgery. The family is unable to ensure an adequate and expensive treatment of the boy as father’s wages and grandmother’s pension just will not suffice!
