Here these children live as a family, they have their own room, which is decorated just as they want; together they look after the house, cook and spend their free time. Today Small group house needs major repairs. They know that that is not an institution, but native home, where your wishes hear, your thoughts take into account, where you learn how to care for yourself, and you learn responsibility, where you feel like a full person.

In 2011 we opened a Small group house in Makariv on the initiative and support of «Hope and Homes for Children» in Ukraine and first children moved here. It is difficult to overestimate the joy and inspiration of children, who have leaved «state-owned» institution and moved in tidy home. Small group house became a real home for them. This is not just a temporary shelter. This is the place where lays the foundation for future life of children. When these children went out into the world, they will not get lost in it, they will get education, and they will create their own families and will fully realize their potential.

Today the Small group house needs major repairs. Nothing lasts forever and after gave refuge for more than a dozen children, it is slightly worn out. Each year the home’s walls leaving children, who have reached the age of majority and the homepopulated with new children. These children want to live in good conditions, not to feel beggars in a temporary shelter. It is crucial for children who have experienced so much misery to get the experience of living with a family, to have an example of what should they endeavor and how to build their own life. We want to give them this chance, to give them own home, bright, clean, comfortable, safe, which helps to heal wounds, get on their feet and move confidently through life.

It's necessary to collect 33 600 UAH for repairs in the Small group house of the Center of social support for children and families "The Ray of Hope" in Makarov, Kyiv region. Join – together we can make a better world!
