"Volonterska sotnia": external fixation devices on the front line
The brutal full-scale war in Ukraine is continues. In times of war, mobile military hospitals on the front line provide emergency and medical care to all who need it.
When the enemy actively uses artillery, the number of wounded with limb damage among military and civilians increases dramatically. In such circumstances, it is extremely important to have a sufficient number of external fixation devices (ESF) in hospitals. With them, doctors are able to fix the damaged limb for proper bone fusion and prevent the loss of an arm, leg or further injury to the spine.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to quantify the need for such devices, because one such set is fixed on one limb, and the patient can walk with it for a long time. That's why dobro.ua together with "Volonterska sotnia" implemented this project for the purchase of necessary medical equipment, namely 59 external fixation devices for doctors who save the lives of Ukrainians every day.
We thank everyone who joins in helping our defenders and people who suffered from Russian aggression, and everyone who brings our victory closer!
UPD: 28.06.2022
So far, five dozen of our defenders and civilians have been saved the lives of timely external fixation devices and given hope for a full life in the future. Thanks to this, the sniper with the call sign "Advocate" is already recovering from the damage to his left hand and is preparing to return to the ranks of his own unit, and 8-year-old Sashko from Popasna is already enrolled in the football section in Kyiv, although he had very serious injuries to both legs.
