This is the third time UBB donors have come to the aid of little Veronika Kistyuk. Her visually impaired parents, Oleksandr and Nadiia, gave birth to a deaf child who was diagnosed with bilateral chronic sensorineural deafness. At the time of submitting the project to the stock exchange, Veronika had already undergone 2 cochlear implantation surgeries. Six months after the implantation, the child's hearing was 100% restored and was no different from that of a healthy person. However, in order for Veronika to learn to speak, she needed daily lessons with a sign language teacher.

On 04.06.2021, a project to help Veronika Kistiuk ‘They don't see her, and she doesn't hear them...3’ was posted on the platform of the CO ICF ‘UBB’. Thanks to the treatment, the child's speech activity is activated, and the development of oral dialogue speech, auditory attention and memory, work is underway on the automation of sounds. The child has already undergone 7 rehabilitation courses at a cost of UAH 96,000.00 (ninety-six thousand hryvnias). The last course was completed in the summer of 2024 at a cost of UAH 6000.00. The final report was submitted with a delay because we were waiting for payment documents. The child has shown significant improvements in the development of language skills. All project funds have been used for their intended purpose. Thank you for your help!
