The expectant mother, 33-year-old Mariana Plinska, urgently needed heart surgery. She was born with a congenital heart defect – stenosis bicuspid aortic valve. It so happened that Mariana had not time to do the surgery. Now she is 4.5 months pregnant, expecting a first child. But, unfortunately, without the surgery, she may lose the baby, and the Mariana is under threat.

In Kiev, such operations are successfully carried out only in Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. This surgery is performed open heart under medical supervision with IPAH Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. But the state does not provide doctors with necessary medicines for such complex operations. To perform the surgery, Mariana independently needs to purchase a list of drugs along with the biological valve, which cost 82 887 UAH. The girl is nowhere to take such large amounts.

Recently her mom died, a girl got fired from work... She is in a very difficult situation. All that managed to raise the girl together with her older sister, is 20 000 UAH. Without the help of caring people, Marianka alone can not cope... the Doctors insist on the urgent operation. We have only a week to two heart beat!

A letter from Mariana:

"I was born with a congenital heart defect, I have stenosis of the bicuspid aortic valve. Knowing about heart disease and being registered at the Amosov Institute in 2009, I almost didn't feel his presence until 2016, when the disease relapsed, and I felt this pain in my heart.

The doctors, as they could have delayed the surgery. But in January 2017, I was told that the operation is deferred no longer and advised to start collecting money for it. Just at this time, I got laid off at work. Parents unable to support me, because in 2016 the same year, I lost one of my family – mother... My father is a pensioner who needs help himself. The only one who works in our family, this is my sister, but since she's helping me and dad to save money on my surgery with her salary could not.

I tried to find a job, but hearing that I have scheduled heart surgery and the rehabilitation time can be more than a month, I immediately refused. In addition, in February I got pregnant, although gynecologists, said it was very difficult. But a miracle happened, despite the pessimistic diagnosis of the doctors. Becoming a mother has long been a dream of mine, and under other circumstances, the news would be the most joyful in life. However, in my situation, pregnancy gave additional load on the heart.

The Amosov Institute gave me hope for salvation. And I really want to believe it, because for every female child that's what you want to live! I, therefore, appeal to all caring people for help with faith, that my child will get a chance to see this beautiful world!

Thank you all!
Mariana".
