Let's save the Marichka's legs. 2

On March 10, 2020, the Kherson police recorded a call. A mentally ill mother poured ice water over a five-year-old girl. Masha ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. Mom and grandmother were placed in a psychiatric hospital. Masha never returned home.

Masha suffers from a neglected congenital bilateral dislocation of the hips. Thanks to all those who are not indifferent and the dobro.ua platform, Marichka was paid for the first surgery on her left hip. Surgical treatment of open elimination of dislocation of the left femur with corrective osteotamia of the proximal left femur with LCP fixation of the Salter pelvic osteotomy using a bone graft was performed

After two months in a cast, according to the decision of the council at the State Institution of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Masha was assigned active rehabilitation and another operation to correct the dislocation of the right hip. Subsequently, without surgery, Masha will need a hip replacement. The beginning of rehabilitation on May 25, 2021. The hospitalization period for the second stage is almost a month. After the second operation for 2 months the girl will be immobile and will require constant care. She will have to go through rehabilitation again and then learn to walk again.

The life and future of this little girl is in the hands of caring people. Each of us can help Marichka and give her the opportunity to believe in herself, in the kindness of people. Only with our help will she learn to trust this world.
