Save the Levchenko Bogdan's heart

More than a year ago twins were born in the Levchenko family: the boy Bogdan and the girl Ivanka. The birth was premature, each child weighed 1 kg. On the third day after their birth, the mother was told a terrible thing: in both children, congenital heart disease is an open arterial duct. Bogdan had strong heart murmurs, and he himself was very restless. In Ivanna, the vice decreased with time independently, and in her brother, it only increased in size. Now the boy needs to have an operation and close the duct.

The Levchenko family is large. Here, besides twins, the eldest son is still growing. The only dad works here, mom is raising children. Parents spent a lot of money on nursing twins, consultations, regular check-ups, and massages. When they were 3 months old, the children underwent eye surgery (retinopathy in premature babies). And now Bogdan needs to have a heart surgery.

In order not to injure the baby and not to cut the chest, doctors advise closing the defect endovascularly with the help of an implant (occluder). The operation at the Institute of Amosov will be done for free, but the parents should buy the occluder for their money. Its price – almost 80 000 UAH – is unaffordable for a large family. They were able to collect 26 000 UAH by themselves, and during the 10th charity "Fundraising Marathon" as part of the Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2018, the team of runners ran their distance and collected another part of the required amount – 34,329.22 UAH.

Now at UBB, we want to collect the remaining amount, which is not enough to buy an occluder. Therefore, we open the collection for 19,599.78 UAH and appeal to all those who are not indifferent with the request to support us and help save little Bogdanchik's heart!
