Save the heart of Masha Kozachok

Looking at this smiling baby with big blue eyes you would never say that she really needs our help. Maria was born on 1 July 2016. On the third day after birth the child has established a disappointing diagnosis: congenital heart defect – patent ductus arteriosus.

Three months later the child was in the hospital with bronchitis, during examination in girls found anaemic. After the disease bronchitis, during the passage of ultrasound in girls was to identify a significant increase in heart disease. Now she needs urgent surgery for closure of the ductus arteriosus endovascular method, using intracardiac implant.

In Amosov National Institute of Сardiovascular Surgery such operations are performed free of charge, but parents have to buy the implant at their own expense. Doctors do not advise to do open surgery because the child has anemia.

In December 2016, Maria was back in hospital with bronchitis, so the operation is recommended to do as soon as possible. But for large families in the amount of UAH 826 76 is very large. In the family only the father works, he's a street cleaner and earns the minimum wage, mother is on maternity leave. The family doesn't have their own house, so they live with mother of his wife, who is retired.

But the family did not give up and with the help of friends already gathered 40 000 UAH. But the rest of the money they can not collect without our help, so Masha's relatives appeal for help to all not indifferent people. Let's all save the heart of Valeria!
