"My daughter is 1 year old, she was born in Lutsk maternity hospital. After birth the doctors said that Victoria has a patent ductus arteriosus. At that time our family lived in Kovel, Volyn region. After consultation with a cardiologist we were convinced that duct closes within the first year of life. But...

But when the girls turned 6 months, our family decided to do a second survey in Lviv. Its results were revealed the same patent ductus arteriosus, but its size was greater than 3 mm. After firing my husband from work, we moved to Nikolaev, where my parents live. My mom is a teacher, father is unemployed.

After another examination the doctor said that there is nothing wrong with a child occurs and to treat him or to get registered to a cardiologist is not necessary. When Victoria was one year, our family decided to pass examination at the Amosov National Institute  to establish a definitive diagnosis. We were told that Viktoria has patent ductus arteriosus with a size of 3.3 mm and by itself it can never close.

Now my baby needs a procedure endovascular ductal closure using occluder. We are a young family. Now we live in Odessa and rented accommodation for 4,200 UAH. I am on maternity leave. The wages of husband (4 535 UAH) and state aid (850 UAH) is not enough for accommodation. So my mom and my husband's parents helping us. The occluder is very expensive and we are not able to collect such funds independently. Also we have no valuables that could be sold to raise funds for the surgery. Our girl is still very small, and because of that we don't want to settle for normal operation. Also we are very scary long-term rehabilitation after surgery and the scars that will remain for life. We will be able to collect 20 000 UAH by the forces and asking for your help! Please, I beg you, help my child to grow up healthy and happy girl!!!
