Save the heart Vladyslav Baranov

I'm Vladislav, I'm 17 years old, and I'm from Kharkiv. Immediately after birth, I began to listen to noises in my heart. I lay several times in the cardiology department of the hospital in Kharkov. I was diagnosed with coarctation of the aorta with an open arterial duct. To confirm the diagnosis, I was sent to the Kiev Research Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. There the diagnosis was confirmed, and I was given an open operation to eliminate coarctation of the aorta.

Then I was 1,5 years, I have closed an arterial duct. All the details, unfortunately, I do not remember, because I was very small, but the scar as a memory of the operation remained for life. I remember how every year my mother took me for a check: cardiogram, ultrasound of the heart. I grew up and developed like a healthy child. I wanted to go in for sports very much, but I understood that the road to me is closed due to the restriction of physical activities.

Since my childhood I have been studying music, I have finished the accordion class. I like physics, mathematics, computer science. I took part in contests, olympiads. At the age of 16, I began to notice a deterioration in my state of health. I had fast fatigue, headaches, increased blood pressure, heart noise. After the next survey, the picture became clear: I again, after 16 years, narrowed the aorta and I need a second operation.

Computer tomography confirmed this diagnosis. Unfortunately, medications are not able to eliminate aortic narrowing, balloon angioplasty and stenting are recommended. Implant costs 86,991 UAH, my mother is not able to collect such amount of money. Mom was able to collect 25 000 UAH, there is still 61 991 UAH.

I really want to live! This year I entered the university. My dream is to become a leading specialist in IT technologies. My motto for life: "Never give up, only weaklings give up." I never asked for anything, I tried everything myself, but now I very much ask for your help. I really love my mother, because I have one, and I can not allow myself to remain in this world. What am I dreaming about? Yes, just live, love and be loved. And every moment to appreciate, because our life is unique!
