Save the heart of Volynets Maria

A little girl Maria from Ternopil needs urgent help. She has a congenital heart defect – severe aortic insufficiency with dilatation of the left heart of the second degree, which appeared after suffering infective endocarditis. This means that at any moment the child can die, suffocate. The girl and her mother are already at the Amosov Institute and she urgently needs an operation. The state does not provide patients with heart implants and funds must be sought on their own. The family does not even have such funds to borrow, and there is no time at all. The operation must be done now. Only we can help her! Save Maria's life.

Maria is a very welcome and long-awaited child, she was born healthy and until recently was always active, cheerful, athletic. At the next vaccination, in December 2020, the doctor drew attention to a heart murmur and recommended an echocardiography of the heart. The parents' conclusion was very frightening: they found coarctation of the aorta, severe aortic valve insufficiency.  The family was immediately sent to the Amosov Institute. Already in Amosov, having passed a full examination, a new diagnosis was made to Maria, which simply shocked the family: severe aortic insufficiency with dilatation of the left heart of the second degree. The family was no longer released from Amosov Institute. Maria must be constantly monitored by doctors.

To save Maria's life, it is necessary to undergo an expensive operation, which includes replacing the aortic valve with a pulmonary valve, and an implant – a conduit – is placed in place of the pulmonary valve. Maria cannot live without this operation.
