This project was created as part of Vodafone Ukraine's charity program "A Good Deed as a Gift". Every day, children with congenital heart disease are born in Ukraine. Some of them need help in the first year of life. For such babies, modern medicine offers an extremely gentle and effective method – endovascular surgery.

Thanks to special heart implants – occluders – doctors can correct the defect without open surgery: through a small puncture in the vessel. The operation takes a few hours, and the next day the little patient can hug his family without painful scars or long recovery. However, heart implants are not funded by the state, and their cost becomes unaffordable for many families. That is why the Good Deed as a Gift charity program from Vodafone Ukraine helps to cover these vital needs.

Our goal is to help one child get his or her chance for a healthy and happy future.

One child. One heart. One story that we can change together.

Within the framework of the project, assistance will be provided to Elizaveta Titarchuk, born on January 12, 2022, from the Kyiv region.

Elizaveta has a patent ductus arteriosus. This heart defect leads to overload and can cause heart failure. Doctors insist on urgent endovascular surgery to close the defect with an occluder. This is a modern and safe method that will give the girl a chance for a healthy childhood. The occluder costs 116,202 UAH. This amount is unaffordable for the family. Only the father works, and all their money goes toward rent and basic expenses.
