News March 2026

The war has repeatedly disrupted Danylo's normal life, and his sense of security has proven to be temporary.

His family used to live in the town of Zolote in the Luhansk region. With the start of the full-scale invasion, they had to leave their home and then flee from danger once again. Now they live in the village of Bohdanivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Despite everything, Danya does not give up. He successfully passed his driving test and received his driver's licence. This is yet another confirmation of his strength of character.

Once, the boy's life was in danger.

‘His condition is serious, but the child is holding on bravely. Pray for him,’ said the doctor when Danylo was in intensive care.

He coped and survived. But he returned home with a diagnosis of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. The disease is severe, and complications have already appeared in the nervous system, leg vessels and eyes.

For many years, Dani had to prick his fingers more than 10 times a day to measure his glucose levels. When Dani started using Freestyle Libre 2 sensors, he was able to compensate for the disease and avoid critical glucose spikes.

We have started a fundraiser to purchase a year's supply of sensors.
