Valeria Levadna undergoes surgery

Valeria is from a large family from Nikopol, which is currently in a difficult financial situation. Her father is on maternity leave to look after their youngest child, as the factory where he worked is almost out of business due to the war. Mum also devotes herself entirely to caring for the children.

Valeria was diagnosed with a heart defect at birth. The family hoped that the defect would close on its own, but with each examination the situation only got worse. The family barely survives on social assistance, so they asked for help for their daughter.

On 17 December, the girl underwent surgery to close her heart defect.
