On November 14, 2025, surgery was performed on Yana Orlovskaya, born in 2019, Zhytomyr region.
Yana Orlovskaya is a sincere, delicate, and very cheerful 6-year-old girl. Since birth, doctors have listened to the noises in her heart, monitored her condition, and regularly performed ultrasounds. At the end of this year, during a routine examination, her parents heard what they had been so afraid of: Yana has a patent ductus arteriosus, a congenital heart defect that requires urgent closure with an occluder. A consultation with a cardiologist confirmed that surgery is necessary as soon as possible to protect her heart from overload and dangerous complications. But for the family, this was a huge challenge.
Yana's father is a soldier who defends Ukraine, is on duty almost all year round, and only rarely sees his family. His salary is the only stable income in the family. Her mother is temporarily out of work because she takes care of the children, especially Yana, who needs constant attention. The cost of the occluder was beyond the family's means. It was at this moment that people who change destinies appeared.
