On 2 May 2024, Matviy Lobankov, born in 2021, from Odesa region, underwent surgery.
The parents found out that their son had a congenital heart defect when Matviychuk was 2 years old. His mother felt that the boy got tired very quickly for his age and was concerned about his condition. Her premonitions were right. Having done an echocardiography of his own free will, he learned about the presence of a congenital heart defect - an 8.5×11 mm aneurysm. At the consultation, the doctors said that with such a diagnosis, treatment was inappropriate, Matviychuk needed endovascular closure of the heart defect with an occluder.
Only his father works in the family, his mother is on maternity leave. The family is unable to raise funds for the purchase of an occluder on their own.
On 2 May 2024, Matvii underwent surgery to close his congenital heart defect. The occluder for the operation, worth UAH 119,947, was purchased thanks to Sabina's "Everything is in Your Hands" fundraiser.
