On 03 June 2024, Volodymyr Anishchenko, born in 2017, from Vinnytsia region, underwent surgery.
Vladimir was born prematurely weighing 1.7 kg. The boy spent 2 weeks in intensive care and then another 1.5 months in hospital. It was then that the baby was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - a secondary defect of the atrial septum.
Now Volodymyr is 7 years old. During the last examination by a paediatric cardiologist, his mother was told that the boy needed surgery because the child was growing and the load on his heart was increasing.
The boy comes from a large family, he has an older sister aged 15 and a brother aged 9.
Only his mother is currently working in the family. His father was injured and is unable to work for health reasons. The income that his mother receives is barely enough to buy food and basic necessities. The amount of money needed to purchase an occluder is too much for the family to raise on their own.
On 03 June 2024, Volodymyr Anishchenko underwent endovascular surgery by the Amosov Institute specialists. The occluder for the operation was purchased thanks to the All in Your Hands project.
