He lost his hearing, but continues to defend!

In September 2023, the project “Lost his hearing, but continues to defend the country” was posted on the website of the ICF “UBB” dobro.ua, the purpose of which was to raise funds to pay for hearing aids for defender Vasyl Viktoriv. He lost his hearing as a result of an injury while performing his duties (diagnosis - impaired hearing function of the 3rd stage).
The initial target amount of the collection was UAH 55,800. However, due to a significant increase in prices for hearing aids, it was increased to UAH 92,800 (according to Letter No. 1607-02 dated July 16, 2024).
Since at that time enough funds had been collected to purchase one device, we decided not to wait for the collection to be completed and to purchase it as soon as possible. This was necessary, because every day without hearing aids worsens a person’s condition. So, UAH 46,400.00 was withdrawn and the first hearing aid was purchased for Mr. Vasyl.
On July 31, 2024, he received the first device, and the collection for the second continued. Exactly one year later, in July 2025, the full amount was reached. On August 5, 2025, we paid for the second hearing aid worth UAH 46,400.00, and the very next day Vasyl received it.
The total amount for the two devices was UAH 92,800.00.
Thus, thanks to joint efforts, our defender now has two hearing aids, which significantly improve his quality of life and interaction with his environment.
