Restoring the health of female and male defenders

At the Regional Clinical Center for Neurosurgery and Neurology, the defenders of Ukraine are receiving inpatient care for their recovery from traumatic brain, spinal cord, mine-blast and peripheral nervous system injuries.

During the full-scale war, the workload on doctors increased significantly. The hospital receives about 2,000 patients a month. Half of them are neurosurgery patients.

Injuries to the nervous system, musculoskeletal system or spine, as well as traumatic brain injuries require specific treatment and a full course of rehabilitation to restore lost functions. Because this area affects the future of a person's life: not only their physical activity and well-being, but also their ability to work, their mobility, and social adaptation.

Currently, hospitals use exercise bikes, treadmills, and simulators to restore the health of Ukrainians.

With the advent of a professional high-tech electromyography complex, which appeared in the hospital thanks to the charitable support of Vulkan Casino, the rehabilitation process is much faster.
