Food for children

Healthy and proper nutrition is important, especially in childhood. It is then that a child's body is formed and develops properly and lives fully. However, there are children who do not imagine that lunch can consist of several dishes, that food can be freely available and doesn't need to be hidden  under a pillow. 6-year-old Sofiyka, who live at us, said: "I'm afraid to fall asleep, because tomorrow when I wake up there will be nothing to eat".

Therefore, first of all, rehabilitation in our Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children begins with meeting the basic needs of each child. The Center is one of the social institutions of the Foundation, which is a temporary shelter for disadvantaged children aged 3 to 16: orphans, children deprived of parental care, children who have found themselves in difficult life circumstances and have been abused. Therefore, providing a child with healthy food and clean water is our first task. And only after, we make a lot of efforts to overcome the consequences of the previous traumatic period. And the most important thing is that we temporarily replace parents, provide children with everything they need and further protect them from fears of starvation and malnutrition.

The project "Food for children" will provide our clients with food in accordance with the age norms and needs of each child. Within one month during the rehabilitation period children will be able to receive 4 full meals. METRO Cash & Carry provides us with groceries free of charge, but we do not have the funds for other food products according to the menu. Our project includes: the purchase of necessary food and payment for the work of a cook and a nurse (dietary). Nutritious food for children undergoing rehabilitation will be possible with the support of caring people for this project.
