About Iliusha it can be said that for his mother he is "the only light in the window". Her happiness, but also her eternal pain. The boy is seriously ill, and his mother’s life is an ever-lasting struggle for his survival. This struggle is desperate and exhausting, but the woman is determined to bring it to the end, despite the gloomy heap of terrible diagnoses.

At birth, Iliusha got 9 Apgar score, and despite the diagnosis "congenital hypothyroidism" up to three years he grew and developed normally. But at three speech delay was found , and doctors prescribed special drugs reception. Maybe it's a coincidence, maybe a consequence of the baby’s exposure to them, but it was after taking these drugs that the boy went into convulsions. They heralded a new diagnosis – epilepsy. And a new treatment began. And life became a constant expectation of seizures and the bitter realization of her impotence – inability to protect her child from this terrible pain.

In this difficult moment the child's father, as it is often the case, could not stand the stress of this struggle, left the family, leaving Iliusha’s mother alone with misfortune, without any moral, physical and financial support. At the same time the child was taken in intensive care – cramps did not stop for hours. It was the most horrible day, but the boy survived. Only parents – Iliusha’s grandparents – already old people, remained close and gave the last in search of doctors, begging for help. Thanks to their support Iliusha managed to pass another examination, during which the cause of convulsions was revealed . Then the hope dawned and after rehabilitation course the boy started to learn to walk again!

Now Iliusha has almost defeated cramps, but there are still a lot of difficulties on his way to a normal life. In the clinic of doctor Bersenev all doctors believe in his recovery! He needs to continue treatment. We live in a terrible time: war, destroyed homes, people are dying – and Iliusha’s mother does not dare to ask for help for her child under such circumstances. But we know that only then make we the world better, when we help someone else's misfortune. Let's not leave Iliusha without our support this time too! Let’s finally let him learn what life without suffering is!
