The girl lives in Odessa, she is 19 years old. She has severe thoracic scoliosis, a hump grows, curved ribs squeeze the heart and lungs. The angle of spinal deformity is rapidly progressing and has already reached 52 degrees. The only way to straighten the girl's back and relieve her from excruciating pain is to perform an operation on the spine with the installation of a fixing metal structure. The University Hospital of the Kharkiv National Institute of Pathology of the Spine and Joints named after M.I. Sitenko is ready to do such an operation for Alina, but the operation is very expensive.

Alina's mom has a disability of the 2nd group, is incapacitated, the father left the family when the girl was two years old. Alina is helped by her grandmother, but she cannot afford to pay for an expensive operation. Alina has a very curved spine. Lenting gait and severe pain in the eyes, unbearable, not stopping for a minute. Due to back pain, Alina does not sleep well at night, waking up every hour. Painkillers help for only a few hours. And then the pain rolls in again, the girl screams and opens her eyes.

At such moments, she wonders one question: why is she so unlucky? But it was not always so. Alina went to kindergarten, played with her friends, rode a bicycle and wore, being a first-grader, beautiful dresses. But everything changed suddenly. When Alina was fourteen years old, the girl began to be disturbed by severe pain, and her grandmother noticed that her granddaughter had asymmetrical shoulders.

In Kharkiv, Alina went with her grandmother, since the girl’s mother is a disabled person of group II, incapacitated, and her own father left the family when Alina was two years old and did not participate in the child’s life. So, from birth to this day, the grandmother supports, helps and brings up Alina. The grandmother did not have money to pay for the operation. Doctors offered to apply then to the fund.

At the moment, Aline received a life-long III group of disability. The girl continues to suffer from unbearable back pain, which shackles the entire body. She cannot stay on her feet for a long time or sit. With great difficulty stretching out on pairs, Alina often takes pain medication in order to remove unbearable pain for a while.
