For Bohdana's Smile. Help!

Bohdana was born at the hardest possible time – right at the very beginning of the full-scale war. She came into the world at six months gestation, weighing just 840 grams. Her lungs hadn’t yet opened, so the tiny girl was taken straight to the intensive care unit on a ventilator.

Bohdana spent her first three months in the hospital, fighting for every breath. She endured an intraventricular hemorrhage, damage to the brain’s white matter, pneumonia, seizures, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. It seemed that everything was against her... But she held on.

After being discharged home, a new battle began – a fight for a full life. Bohdana undergoes rehabilitation courses every two to three months. Each course represents progress: holding her head up, supporting herself on her arms, crawling, sitting with adult support. She has great potential, and every doctor agrees: rehabilitation is absolutely critical to preserve what she has achieved.

Today, Bohdana is three years old. She has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, psycho‑speech developmental delay, and epilepsy. She still cannot sit unaided, roll over, stand, or walk. But this little girl proves every day that she is a true heroine. Despite the pain, spasticity, and seizures, she smiles, hugs her older sister, and eagerly awaits praise for her efforts.

Bohdana dreams of swinging on a swing, playing with musical toys, and one day taking her first independent step.

To give her that chance, she needs another round of rehabilitation at a specialized clinic. It’s a chance to consolidate her previous gains, reduce her pain, and bring her closer to a childhood without limitations.
