Let's save the lives of children with cancer!

In September 2023, the project "Let's save the lives of children with cancer!" was posted on the website of the MBF "UBB" - dobro.ua, the purpose of which is to raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment for the Sumy Regional Children's Clinical Hospital in the total amount of UAH 627,000.00 .

At the beginning of October 2023, in connection with the hospital's urgent need for a venous scanner, funds were transferred to the project from the Health Treasury in the amount of UAH 91,078.54. and a total amount of UAH 107,000.00 was transferred to our account with the collected funds. for partial implementation of the project.

The hospital received the equipment itself on October 9, 2023 and is already using it. There was no venous scanner in the hospital at all, but it is very important during the treatment process, because it helps to choose the appropriate vein for venipuncture, it is a very responsible process, even nurses with great experience do not always manage to perform this procedure. Choosing the wrong vein creates discomfort and can lead to more serious complications, up to the development of tissue necrosis.

Sumy Regional Children's Clinical Hospital is the only institution in the region that provides primary, specialized and highly specialized medical care services for children under 18 years of age. About 12,000 children from the region and the city of Sumy receive inpatient treatment every year.

The hospital is located in a front-line region that suffers from constant shelling, but it never stopped receiving local children for a single day.

Currently, about 10 children with cancer are undergoing therapy at the hospital.

The actual amount of the project implementation is UAH 107,000.00. Fundraising for the project continues.
