Raising of despair. Оlena's life is on the brink. 2

Every day matters. Olena has diabetes, which is not controlled by simple methods. Due to kidney failure, her blood sugar level sometimes drops to such critical levels that the young woman loses consciousness, and then jumps to 25 and above (with the upper limit of the norm being 6). Olena's body is exhausted by constant physiological stress caused by her illnesses. Psychologically, it's not much easier for the young woman from Mykolaiv, who lived through all the horrors of the outbreak of war and had to go into evacuation. 

Now Olena is waiting for her turn at the Lviv Organ Transplant Centre. No one knows when it will be possible to perform a life-saving operation, in a month or a year. For the time being, regular haemodialysis procedures help to remove excess fluid from the body instead of the failing kidneys. It is also difficult, but at least this way you can survive while waiting. 

Recently, with your help, we ordered a "cool" insulin pump for Olena, which will actually work instead of the pancreas, constantly monitor her sugar level and inject insulin. For it to work and save Olena from critical dips and spikes in her sugar level, a lot of consumables are needed. The young woman will not be able to buy them on her own, and it takes a long time to get them at public expense. So for this period, we have to lend a shoulder and help with their purchase.
