Olena is afraid of not waking up one morning. She has diabetes and kidney failure. She is waiting for a kidney transplant and is on haemodialysis. Her sugar levels are spiking, often up to 6 times higher than normal. Her life is constantly under threat.

We purchased a special pump for Elena that monitors her sugar level and injects insulin when needed, but it regularly requires new consumables: infusion sets, reservoirs and sensors. It costs several tens of thousands of hryvnias every month. For Olena, who left her native Mykolaiv because of the war, this amount is huge and unattainable. She is asking for help, believing that with the support of caring people she will get a kidney transplant.
