Each new day of a child who is seriously or terminally ill is similar to the previous one: medications, homework, trips to a hospital or rehabilitation center, sometimes a hospital. There is no room for “I don’t want” or “I will do it later," but there is systematic, hard work, and a desire to get better. Is there a place for children's fun and faith in miracles?..

After all, sick children are children first of all, they so want to forget about the hospital ward or painful procedures at least for a day, play with friends, watch cartoons or a whole day to draw. And they also want to write a letter to St. Nicholas and Santa Claus, in the morning to look under the pillow and the New Year tree – and find such a welcome gift there. They deserve it!

Sad as it may be, however, parents who have been paying for the treatment of sick children for years, buy them the necessary medicines and various supplies, and in addition still support their families, do not always have the opportunity to arrange such a holiday for them. And if a sick child has no parents, and he is raised by an old grandfather or grandmother?..
