Healthy heart for a little princess

Mirra fought for her life since birth. She was born much before the term, and doctors gave her a 50/50 chance to live in the next 2 days. Mirra has won her first victory – she snatched a victory! But that was only the beginning. Infection that she got in the hospital, resuscitation, hyperbaric chamber, inspection, gained heart problems, and the months spent in the hospital under the in-patient facility in the hospital. Now Mirra needs a heart implant to be installed.

Mirra has valvular pulmonary stenosis. For two and a half years of her life she has experienced a lot, and she even was operated in "Okhmatdyt" once. By the way, Mirra does not recognize activity limitations. She's a very active girl. She loves to run and to jump, to go up a ladder, to hang on the crossbars, to swim in the pool. She tries to imitate her father's actions: fishing, doing exercises, dreaming about sports. And, of course, she wants to have her own children someday, as her mom does.

But to make these dreams come true, it is necessary to eliminate the secondary atrial septal defect. This is the same oval window, which for a long time reduces the excess pressure in stenosis, and which itself is closed (according to the doctors's opinion). Neither do sports nor have a child with such a vice without a risk to life can not be. The Elimination can be in two ways.

The first method is abdominal surgery. However, as the doctor said, a risk of abdominal surgery and the complexity of long recovery period doesn't answer the final result. Therefore a second method was offered.

The second method is to implant the occluder inside the heart, which will be implanted through a vein using a catheter. Postoperative period when such operation is reduced to 3-5 days. The risk is reduced to almost zero. The problem is that occluder costs money. Tens of thousand of hryvnias, which couldn't be collected on their own.
