Live for the children!

When a child falls ill, parents do all possible to solve the problem. But what to do when a mother falls ill? And what to do if this mother grows two teenagers alone? And what to do if this mother moved with two children and a couple of bags from Donetsk, to escape the war? In June of 2020 Svetlana was diagnosed with oncology. During a year she underwent 6 courses of chemotherapy, 6 courses of brachytherapy and 25 courses of radiation therapy. Svetlana can’t work now for medical reasons – chemotherapy was too severe. She receives no alimony, her ex-husband is in Donetsk, he has another family and he provides no financial support.

Oncology, and especially of the stage 4, requires expensive auxiliary treatment – medicines for liver, stomach, vessel enhancement – all this requires 5-6 thousand each month, in addition, there are tests and examinations. The younger son attends music school, which means extra expenses. Her daughter dreams of entering an art school, but unfortunately, the courses are not free of charge, which makes them inaccessible for Svetlana and her daughter. She wants to give all the best to her children, but all resources are taken by the disease. She has little energy and she is badly lack of money.

At this point due to the changes in kidneys she requires PET CT which costs 9 900 UAH. Doctors cannot correct treatment without this examination. Svetlana will further need to visit an oncologist at Spizhenko Clinic and undergo a surgery followed by supportive and recovery therapy. The family is financially exhausted, they don’t know where to get money.

We ask all caring people to help Svetlana survive! Her children don’t imagine their life if something bad happens to their mother. Their cherished dream is an alive and healthy mother!
