"Duchenne muscular dystrophy". This diagnosis was heard by parents 5 years ago when Dania was 6 years old. The disease is genetic and orphanic, that is, rare. There are sick only 5 children per 10,000 population. The horror of this disease is that all the muscles are gradually refusing to function. The disease begins with the legs, progresses upwards and ends with the lungs and the heart... At the age of 12, without the necessary rehabilitation, constant exercises and medications the child can no longer do without a wheelchair. Without the necessary rehabilitation, Dania's life is limited to 20 years. 

Dania's health problems began when he went to school. It became difficult for the boy to climb the stairs. He began to stumble, fall, could not rise on his own. At first, parents thought that Dania was just pamper, but when the stumbling became more frequent, they seriously began to worry and turned to the doctors. In Kiev, the child was diagnosed with progressive muscular dystrophy, Duchenne's form. In Ukraine, medicine against such a diagnosis is powerless. But parents did not give up and found a specialist abroad.

Annually, Dania needs to go to Israel to a specialist in Duchenne muscular dystrophy, to pass the examination, treatment, rehabilitation exercises. His mom is always with him. All the exercises are recorded on video to later continue to perform them at home. If go through all the doctor's appointments, there is an opportunity to extend the boy's life twice.
