Life is amazing

Everyone who was abroad meet the happy groups of their pensioners, who travel around the world. They have bright clothes, shining eyes, they are part of the active society. Look at the life of our pensioners… When the person is retired, he perceives old age as an end of the journey, boringness, he feels useless, has no joy. Because of such psychological condition his health also getting worse and life has only dark colors.

Everybody Can Foundation takes care of elderly who besides other usual challenges of Ukrainian pensioners went through the traumatic experience of the events on Donbass – shelling, staying in the conflict zone, wounds and losses of close people. They ran away from the horrors of war and put all their lives in one bag. Now they live on the peaceful territory, but have a lonely life, concentrate on their inner problems, afraid to start a new life and hope to get back to old reality. They are followed by memories, loss of interest in life, apathy, feeling of inability to cope with the life challenges and has problems with the planning of their future.

That is why we created the social-cultural project Beautiful life, which aims to provide psychological rehabilitation for our elderly. In the framework of the project, the old people are switching their thought to positive, restore the taste of life. Since they came to Kiev 4 years ago, many of our beneficiaries have never been in the center of Kiev. Their route – home, pharmacy store, shop, social service. Never ending circle. We want to end this. We want to show them the city, tell about its history and architecture, about its famous citizens and interesting places. We want to arrange the comfortable tours with the professional guide. We want them to fell in love with our city, so it will become native for them.
