Life with autism is not an easy path

In July 2024, the project “Life with Autism is a Difficult Path” was posted on the dobro.ua website, the purpose of which was to raise funds to pay for a rehabilitation course for Kondratiev Artem (diagnosis – autism).

The fundraising was completed in August, and in the same month we paid for the boy’s treatment in the amount of 27,135.00 UAH., However, Artem completed the rehabilitation course only on November 8, as there is a queue for treatment at the Rehabilitation Center.

Artem is now 14 years old, the boy studies with “excellence”. He is very kind, gentle, especially sensitive to the experiences of other children, positive and cheerful, loves horses, swimming and diving in the river, he likes to invent something, build Lego. The boy is interested in biographies of famous people, still believes in Saint Nicholas. But, despite his thirst for knowledge and development, Artem still finds it difficult to establish contact with other people, he has no friends and has difficulties with socialization. Classes with a psychologist, correctional teacher, speech therapist during rehabilitation are aimed at precisely this - to improve Artem's psycho-emotional state, help him socialize and develop speech. "I really want him to find himself in this life, and for society to accept him," - shares his mother Tatyana with us. Classes with a physiotherapist, exercise therapy and massage are a necessary component for maintaining muscle tone, removing clamps and contractures that arise due to increased nervousness.

Each rehabilitation is extremely important for Artem, it brings the boy closer to a full life and the realization of dreams, and also helps not to lose the skills already acquired.
